I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember.  My mother is an artist and has always encouraged me.  As a child, I spent many hours practicing drawing, especially facial features and animals.  My education includes Estelle Fedelle Studios in Chicago, the Art Institute of Chicago, Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, and NSCAD in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

In 1999 I opened up my own gallery on the east coast of Florida and participated in many outdoor art shows, winning many awards for painting and drawing.  While in Florida,  I also accepted commissions for murals in private homes and nursing homes.  My specialty is portraiture, both animal and human, which I can do in miniature on stones and also larger on canvas.  I have done many portraits over the years, and enjoy bringing the subject to life.  I don't consider the work finished until I can see the "alive" look in the eyes.

My husband and I (and our cats) now reside in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.   I hope you enjoy this site!
